Paris Goodyear-Brown,LCSW, RPT-S, is the creator of the TraumaPlay™ model as well as the founder and clinical director of Nurture House and Executive Director of the TraumaPlay™ Institute. She is internationally known as both a speaker and clinician. She has been working on trauma and problematic attachment in childhood for more than 25 years. She is an adjunct lecturer at Vanderbilt University and other universities in Tennessee. She counsels parents to support them in parenting and responding to their children's vulnerabilities. She offers clinical and teacher supervision to facilitate play-based interventions. She wrote numerous books including Parents as Partners in Child Therapy: A Clinician's Guide, Trauma and Play Therapy, Tackling Touchy Subjects, Play Therapy with Traumatized Children: A Prescriptive Approach and The Worry Wars: An Anxiety Workbook for Kids and their Helpful Adults.
